if you don't want that code to execute until a movieclip completes play, don't use an onLoad method to trigger the code's execution. use an author defined function and call that function when your movieclip completes play and you want that code to execute.
This sounds like it will work... How do I tell it to run when the movieclip is finished playing?
call the function that contains your code.
I have the code in the Miniclip.onLoad function...
so, you're suggesting that I make a new function containing the actual code... and to call the function where?
I'm trying to essentially make a Miniclip.onFinish sort of thing, which actionscript doesn't have..
correct, there is no onFinish method.
you could create your own but that would require a loop to continually check if the movieclip has reached its final frame. or you could place a function call on the last frame of your Miniclip movieclip.
