1. Re: disconnect frames
Arnis Gubins Nov 4, 2014 7:43 AM (in response to mgustantino)No. You have to select the two frames that you want to disconnect and then use the menu option to actually make the disconnect.
Why are you having to disconnect your frames if you changed the page sizes? There may be an easier way to get the visual layout that you want without such a drastic step.

2. Re: disconnect frames
mgustantino Nov 5, 2014 2:38 AM (in response to Arnis Gubins)If there is an easier way I am ALL EARS!!!! You answered my question about mass updating the master pages. Thank you that was VERY helpful. I finally figured out that I had to apply right mp to right mp. That worked out great! However the problem I am having now is that most of the pages are connected and I have overriden the page sizes for each page ( the right page is a full size). So when I do the mass update the pages are not what I want. That is why I have been disconnecting EACH and EVERY page. As I mentioned, I am open to ANYTHING that will help with what I want to do. If you need an example of my file, I can supply you with it. Thanks SO much for your assistance.

3. Re: disconnect frames
Arnis Gubins Nov 5, 2014 6:26 AM (in response to mgustantino)You could have tried making the text frame smaller on your Master pages to keep the content that you wanted on the respective pages. Also, use of the paratag properties to automatically start at the top of page (for titles, headings, etc.) would probably help keep things as they were.
FM is designed for a continuous flow of information. It sounds like you're trying to use it more as a page by page layout toollike InDesign (can be).

mgustantino Nov 5, 2014 6:31 AM (in response to Arnis Gubins)I am not sure of what you mean by the paratag properties to automatically
start at the top of page (for titles, headings, etc.)

5. Re: disconnect frames
Arnis Gubins Nov 5, 2014 8:21 AM (in response to mgustantino)You can specify, in the paragraph designer, that a specific paragraph tag starts at the top of a page (or a Right, Left page or top of column).
You can then apply the appropriately defined tags to your content to paginate the content as you require.
Also, since you're posting in the Structured Forum, I have to assume that you are using FM in a structured mode, you can define context rules in your EDD to change the behaviour of elements to apply page breaks or additional spacing as required.
