But you can apply a style to large blocks of text, and if you have "Next Style" defined, you can apply the first and next styles in one operation.

SRiegel Nov 5, 2014 12:17 PM (in response to schmerghendurghen)By existing styles, do you mean words or sentences within a paragraph that are set to something like bold, italic or a color? If that's the case, you can use find and replace to apply Character styles to all those instances. Once you have done that, you can apply a Paragraph style to the whole thing, and everything that has a Character Style will have the Character Style attributes retained.

Like others, [No Paragraph Style] and [Basic paragraph] are searchable, too.
