I've recently updated to InDesign 2014.1 and am having annoying issues trying to export JPGs, PDFs and print out pages. This is a major part of my job and I need to do this for every job, every day. Also when I try to open files from Finder it gives me an error saying "Cannot open the document. You may not have permission..." No-one has the file open and I have to get info and close the info window to be able to open the file. I've been waiting for an update to fix these issues but one hasn't happened. I'm having to use other people's computers to do any exports I need to do and I'm getting fed up. Please help.
What operating system? Sounds like it might be a permissions issue. If a Mac, go to Applications > Utilities > Disk Utility, select your drive and choose Repair Disk Permissions.
Steve, you are a legend. That seems to have fixed the issue. Thank you so much.
Productivity is going to be through the roof now.
Sorry Steve, I just tried another file and it's exporting blank pages. I've done the disk permissions repair a few times but it's still not 100%...
