1. Re: App rejected, no content in iOS8
Neil Enns - Adobe Nov 6, 2014 3:56 PM (in response to PacificPublish)Did you include at least one free issue in your app before submitting to Apple so they could see content in it? This rejection from Apple happens when you don't have an issue available in the app for them to look at.

PacificPublish Nov 6, 2014 6:13 PM (in response to Neil Enns - Adobe)Hi Neil, I published three renditions but set all of them to Public and Retail. Are you saying at least one should be set to Public and Free for them to see it? Thanks

Neil Enns - Adobe Nov 6, 2014 6:24 PM (in response to PacificPublish)According to our publishing guide having a free issue isn't required, although based on previous messages here I always thought it was required. I suggest you go through all the steps in the publishing guide to ensure you have your retail issues set up correctly and that they show up in the app during sandbox testing: http://help.adobe.com/en_US/ppcompdoc/Adobe_Publishing_Companion_Guide_for_iPad.pdf. Page 88 walks through how to test with retail content.

4. Re: App rejected, no content in iOS8
PacificPublish Nov 6, 2014 10:40 PM (in response to Neil Enns - Adobe)Hi Neil, I followed the publishing guide very closely. My app is not subscription, so i stuck with the previous In-App processes. This is the part that baffled me: originally I set the app to Public and Free, and Apple rejected because they could'nt find the In-App Purchase. So i resubmitted, set it to Public and Retail, and that's when they said the app had no content.
So my question is this: If the app is set to Public and Free, does that enable the user to download the viewer, and then they have to buy the app via the In-App Purchase, as happens with subscription apps? Is that the protocol?

5. Re: App rejected, no content in iOS8
PacificPublish Nov 6, 2014 11:34 PM (in response to PacificPublish)I have Sandtested on iPhone 5 iOS8 and on iPhone 3. With the app set to Public and Retail, the app has no content. When set to Public and Free it is available for download. This seems to be against the advice in the manual. Any guidance greatly appreciated, Neil, Bob or anyone else. Many thanks

6. Re: App rejected, no content in iOS8
Neil Enns - Adobe Nov 7, 2014 6:25 AM (in response to PacificPublish)If you have it set to public/retail and the issues aren't showing up that means you don't have in-app purchase set up properly. Did you create Product IDs for your items in iTunes? Did you add your shared secret from iTunes to your publication account settings in the DPS dashboard?
I suggest calling our enterprise support line for assistance at this point as they can walk you through common causes. To find contact information log in at http://digitalpublishing.acrobat.com/ and look in the bottom middle of the screen.

7. Re: App rejected, no content in iOS8
PacificPublish Nov 9, 2014 3:26 PM (in response to PacificPublish)Okay, thanks Neil. At first, no option for a shared secret, then for no apparent reason I got a shared secret. I'll see how it goes.
