    Freezing and Restarting

I have an iMac 27" 3.5GHz i7 with 32GB of RAM, the 512GB SSD and 4GB of VRAM.

It freezes after about 5 to 10 minutes of using Photoshop CC.

The screen and cursor and date and everything will freeze for about 10 seconds...and the computer will start itself automatically.

This does not happen with any other program. This did not happen previously with CS6.

I wonder if anyone else has this problem?

I have set photoshop to use between 60 to 80% of RAM...and still it crashes.

At the time of the crash, Photoshop shows 100% efficiency.

I typically have 10GB free RAM and it does not really touch the scratch disk.

I am running Mac OS 10.10

          Level 7

If the system restarts, then you are looking at an OS bug, a low level driver bug, or defective hardware.

If this just started after installing MacOS 10.10, then it is probably an OS or driver bug.

You need to contact Apple, so they can get information from the system about why it restarted.

If you need to get work done, then consider downgrading to a more stable version of MacOS after giving Apple the information they need to fix the OS bug.
