Maybe I should also say, I'm on Windows 7. Newest version of Ae CC 2014. The sequence is a pre-rendered composite of a 3D tablet spinning around. Only other stuff going on is some text and graphics animations.

Cleared my disk cache and for sure have the disk space.
No idea, but in light of the plethora of PNG errors in relation to AE CC 2014.1 I'd say it's completely busted and you need to convert your source files to another format...
