    Setting compatible host version to [15.2,15.9] doesn't work (at least for Photoshop)

      Hello all !

      I am using this as the hostlist in my manifest.xml :

      <HostList>
        <Host Name="PHXS" Version="[15.2,15.9]" />
        <Host Name="PHSP" Version="[15.2,15.9]" />
      </HostList>

      And my extension won't install anymore (from Adobe Add-ons). I get a -411 error "no compatible CC application was found", even though I have Photoshop CC 2014.2.1 installed.

      Please note that :

      - Everything worked fine when hosts versions were [15.0,15.9]

      - Plugin also installed when in dev mode (publishing to the CEP folder directly), that's how I know 2014.2 is 15.2

      Is that a known problem ?

      Thanks in advance,

      Yannick

          Hi Yannick,

          I have just tested out this scenario and everything worked correctly for me with Photoshop 15.2 and a CEP extension with a minimum version of 15.2.

          Can you please confirm which OS you're running on?

          I have investigated your particular product, and noticed that there may be an issue with the numbering of your patches - the currently published patch is version 1.3.0, while the patch with 15.2 as its minimum Photoshop version is version 1.2.0. In general, when publishing new patches, the version number should always be greater than the previously published patch, so publishing version 1.2.0 would effectively be a downgrade.

          If problems persist, can you please enable logging and send me your log file (fgregor@adobe.com)?

          1.  Create a file called exmancoreliblog.yes and copy it to

          Mac: /Users/<name>/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Extension Manager CC/Log/

          Windows: C:\Users\<name>\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Extension Manager CC\Log

          2. Restart your computer

          3. Reproduce your problem, then locate ExManCoreLibrary.log in the same folder as exmancoreliblog.yes

          Best regards,

          Fraser
