I am building a portable system in a 3U sized rackmount server chassis that supports my CEB sized motherboard, but the PSU is 500W and probably not sufficient for my rig. I need 700W or 800W. But these are not your typical PSUs that fit into a desktop case. They are long, flat rectangular shaped. I have to believe someone out there has some experience, but this is my third post asking this same question without a single response.
Thanks for that! Somewhere in all those listings I found what looks like a perfect unit for my case and system. For some reason, these are very difficult to find
Make sure all the required connections for your Asus motherboard are supported by the power supply that you purchase. For standard ATX style power supplies practically all power supplies have cabling for practically all desktop and workstation motherboards. Super Micro motherboards and accordingly their power supplies are not assured of having the same cabling that you may be expecting.
