    Print form data

    NViereckel Community Member

Hi, I am creating a form for a client and they do not want to export the data to a spreadsheet, they want to be able to find the pdf once it is filled.

But the text runs off out of the box I have created and this does not print.

Is there anyway that I can make it print what is in each field without making it a multiple page document and making the text boxes much larger.

It seems to be a question that comes up regularly, but no-one has a great answer for.

Adobe, a fix for this would be a great thing for a designer bucket list :-)

      I appreciate any feedback.

      Cheers

What sort of fix do you imagine would be ideal?

You can set a field's font size to Auto, which will case the it to auto-reduce in the attempt to display all of the text in a field, down to a minimum of 4 points.

Hi George - well ideal would be to see the text that has been inputted into the boxes. The data is there, but because there are more lines that can be displayed in the box size, e.g. 5 lines of text, but only 3 display. Only the 3 lines (what you see) gets printed. Like the way you can print out comments. Same kind of concept.

And alas having text printed at 4pt is not a very useful option as it gets too hard to read.

Thanks for your thoughts though. Something to consider next time a client asked for a fillable pdf. I will need to let them know they need to limit the text they want to allow to be inputted. Or use another program.

            Cheers
