I'm sorry that you ran into trouble with this! This help page shows where to find the font sync logs on your computer:
help.typekit.com/customer/portal/articles/1649149#logs
Attach the three or four most recent CoreSync-yyyy-MM-dd.log files along with a screenshot of the Fonts tab in Creative Cloud to an email to support@typekit.com, and we will look into the sync delays for you. (Please don't send a zip file, as it may get flagged as spam.)

Bart Driessen Nov 11, 2014 10:58 AM (in response to Bart Driessen)I had a private discussion with Liz in follow up of this topic. Things will improve with an upcoming update. in the meantime, killing the Core Sync process with Activity Monitor and restarting it did the job for me.
About restarting: I started it by finding it with Spotlight.
