    some icons are showing the wrong photograph.

      Some of the icons in lightroom are showing a different image to the actual image in the file. I have re-started lightroom, and the computer, as well as tried re-syncing the file and updating the location of the file with no success. If I switch modules, the image changes back but if I click to another image the icon changes to the wrong image agin. Any ideas greatly appreciated

          Not sure, but maybe this is due to hosed previews.

          To test:

          * close Lightroom

          * find catalog file (ends with .lrcat)

          * rename "catalog Previews.lrdata" folder (in same directory as your catalog file), e.g. "Used to be - catalog Previews.lrdata".

          * open Lightroom

          Note: invoke Library -> Previews -> Build Standard Previews

          better?

          If so, then delete the old previews folder (e.g. "Used to be - catalog Previews.lrdata").

          If not, then my theory was wrong - sorry.

            Thank you for taking the time to reply Rob. I found the Lightroom catalog preview folders. For some reason I seem to have 2 as well as 2 catalog folders. I suspect this is what caused the problem. I dragged them both out, opened lightroom again and see a new preview folder has appeared and the problem has gone (at least for now).
