encore 5.5 error and offline

I get a general error when I hit preview in encore 5.5 why?

I am also offline when I am on resource Central. How do I get on line?

The Disc info says it is full with a blank DVD or without a DVD in, why?

What operating system?

Resource Central was discontinued in CS6. I wonder if it is not longer there? What content are you looking for? They eventually made the whole library accessible, so they may be no extra content there for Encore.

How do I find the library. I did have have RC at one time.
Do you have any ideas on my other problems? Thanks

Forgot to add this: General error can be a variety of causes. Clear cache; reset preferences are worth try.
