my computer needs some maintenance work done in the coming weeks. It is possible that Windows has to be re-installed. In that case I will have to re-install Lightroom en restore my pictures and Lightroom database. I have been looking in the online Help-files but they are of not much use or I am overlooking the information.
I have an Adobe CC account, use Lightroom 5.6 witch is fully updated, and I use Photoshop CC. I have back-ups of both the Lightroom catalogues and of my pictures of course.
Can anyone point me towards the right information or has experience performing a full restore of Lightroom, the database and the pictures? Do I need my license keys or do the applications pick that up after I log in to Adobe CC?
Easiest thing to do is to put the catalog file exactly where it was before, and then put all the photos exactly where they were before.
If for some reason that isn't possible, then you want to keep the folder hierarchy of your photos unchanged (do not take this as an opportunity to start rearranging photos and folders into different places within the hierarchy). Put the catalog whereever you want, put the photos whereever you want keeping the folder hierarchy unchanged, and then double-click on the catalog file and inside of Lightroom reconnect using Adobe Lightroom - Find moved or missing files and folders
Thanx for the answer. Im reacting a little late but it hasnt been neccesary to restore..yet.
