you shouldn't have to do anything (once your flash has focus).
so your saying that when i open a flash file theres an automatic dynamic keyboard controlled menu?
sorry if that sounded rude it doesnt intend to be im jsut trying to clarify
yes. you can use arrow keys to navigate up and down and enter for a button press. if you want to navigate left and right, too you'll need to do some coding.
i think you misunderstand. i cannot just open flash and achive this somthing has to be inside the document.
i have made an image to explain this clearer as i think a misunderstanding has occured:

i don't think i musunderstood. go to the file below, click on the stage and press tab to give focus to your flash and then navigate with your keys.
ahh i see not exactly what i meant but thank you.
the user shouldnt have to press tab to select menuitems as tab is accociated with cheating or accesability. i found a way of doing the menu with a list component that should yield what i wanted.
the tab was just to start the process. you should be able to code an on-stage click to give focus to the first button, too.
but congrats on finding solution.
