There are issues deleting frames in the current version. You might want to wait for the next update. In the mean time you can download the previous version here: https://creative.adobe.com/products/animate
You need to be logged in and choose version 2014 in the dropdown menu.
The url in the attached image shows that of Edge Animate 5.0.
Select Animate CC (2014) from the dropdown. Then on the top right you will see Download Animate CC(2014). Click on it to download the older version
this might sound stupid, but in my case, the problem was that the folder where my files were saved, had a special character (é) in its name. I changed the name of the folder and everything is just fine now.
not stupid - good input!
Thank you for sharing your solution with us. It will help us troubleshoot similar issues, as also help others visiting this post in the future.
This is by no means a solution.
I get the following all the time. Very unstable. All result in failure files.
I'll add the others as I get them... It is constant. Still trying to figure out whether I have a hand in it.
Please save your work and restart Edge Animate.
(wow. that is an untrustworty instruction. I have to imagine my data has been gnawed on.)
I use a 1.5 year old top of the line MacBook Pro + Animate CC 14.1.1. I didn't use it until now, so I don't have any issue with prior versions causing trouble.
I tried the file corruption advice of another person on this board to no avail.
Did you ever get a resolution to your situation?
I have a similar issue with a file and am keen to know if you managed to sort it.
