    Blitpipe Disengaged

Error message on Mac After Effects CC2014. I've seen other threads but wondering if this can be explained in layperson's terms and if there is troubleshooting to prevent?

It simply means that hardware acceleration for graphics or decoding footage is not available/ not functioning. The rest we can't know since you haven't bothered to provide any proper technical info or explained what your problem actually is or what happens when this message comes up.

            Thanks?

I'm just someone that makes a living using the tool so i have no idea how to process your assessement "hardware acceleration for graphics or decoding footage is not available/not functioning"

Does this mean something is wrong with hardware not software?

If you are willing to try again, I'll try again. I know you don't usually provide any insight on the Mac side so I'll leave those details out. But if you think that may help with an informed answer. MacPro 5,1, OSX10.8.5, NVIDIA GTX780, Mac has 96GB of ram and a 3.46 GHZ 12CORE processor.

            1. Getting error upon quitting After Effects after a session of working in the tool

            2. Adobe After Effects CC2014 (latest build)

            3. I render primarily to Quicktime PRORES422 Codec

            4. Issue started occurring several weeks ago, no new plug-ins updated or installed.

            5. My favorite color is orange.

Thank you if you think there's some troubleshooting I can do to try to resolve the problem. If you don't think you have any insight then I appreciate the read.

So you only get the message on quitting? Did this happen in version 13.0? Did it happen in 13.1? Or just in 13.1.1?

I'd suggest filing a bug report: Adobe - Feature Request/Bug Report Form

                    Hey daveyj

I have the same issue also. I think it is related to my Element 3D plug in from videocopilot. I have only just put After Effects CC2014 on my laptop after a clean install of Yosemite 10.10.1

The moment i put Element 3D back on my laptop this message appears when I close the program. I can still save my projects but my laptop generates a crash report now every time i close After Effects.

I will submit one of my reports also and see where it goes.

I'd suggest also contacting Video Copilot support. If there's a bug in how their plugin works, I'm sure they'd like to get it fixed.

                        media 71 / Szalam,

Interesting...Thank you so much for your replies and follow ups.

Element 3d v2 launches on 12/2. I may wait for the update but I think:

                        1. gonna remove element to troubleshoot

                        2. contact Videocopilot about the issue

                        3. see if v2 does any good to resolve when it comes out

                        very strange

This is a bug in Element 3D.

We are making a change on our side to protect against this bug in After Effects 13.2, which will come out in a few weeks if all goes according to plan.

For the record, I just received this error message today, and do not have Element 3D installed, nor have I ever. I do have optical flares from Video Copilot.
