Changing from Creative Cloud to standalone

    kylar85

I installed Lightroom through the Creative cloud trial. My trial has expired now, and I am now prompted to make payment to continue using Lightroom.

However, I prefer to purchase it as a standalone rather than pay on a monthly basis. If I were to make payment, will I need to re-download and reinstall Lightroom again? I do not have fast internet connection for this period of time, and it would be best if I can make payment and continue using on my current lightroom installed.

As far as I know a perpetual License key will not be accepted to activate the trial version. You have to uninstall the trial version, this process will not affect your current Catalog File, Preferences or personal files. Then (a). Purchase the Perpetual Version, download, install and activate with the license key or (b) Purchase a Disk version from a third party supplier like Amazon, install and activate with the key supplied with the disk.
