    Lightroom 5 upgrade

    Nepotism Works!

      Hello All,

I am interested in purchasing the full version (DVD, etc.) from a store.  Once purchased and installed, can I upgrade to Lightroom 5.7?  I need to do this since my D750 is not supported before this version.

I am NOT interested in the 'cloud' scheme.

      Equipment: MBP running Yosemite 10.10.1

      Many thanks

I'm guessing that Amazon, B&H, Adorama and probably others sell Lightroom 5. If you purchase LR 5 from anyone, you can upgrade to Lightroom 5.7 at no charge.

It is also possible to purchase and download the upgrade or full version directly from Adobe.

              Hello dj-paige,

Many thanks for your prompt answer.  Your answer does seem to make sense and surely it is quite correct.

I am wondering, however.  The description of LR 5 as far as operating system goes does specify Mac OS X v. 10.7 or 10.8.  I am running Yosemite which is version 10.10.1

Are you, or any of learned colleagues, aware if this may constitute an installation problem?

Also, since I am new to this, I wonder if Adobe Labs which recommended asking questions in this forum, will stand behind the answers if anything (read installation/upgrade/usage) goes awry.

              Again, Many thanks.

Many people are using Lightroom 5 on Yosemite
