Is any one else seeing issues with Lightroom not being able to Reconnect Referenced Photos even though the box is checked for "Find Nearby Missing Photos"? It will see and connect the one image that I go to but will not find nearby images. I have tens of thousands of arcade that need reconnecting. One at a time is not an option. Hope to hear from others with suggestions.
Reconnect an entire folder or "tree" of folders at once, instead of one photo at a time, see Adobe Lightroom - Find moved or missing files and folders
using your operating system, move the photos to where Lightroom expects them to be
Tried selecting folder tree and it takes me directly in to THE folder wanting a specific file. Won't let me stay in the folder hierarchy. Not an option to move 800,000 images back to their old drive. There must be a way to reconnect files.

I don't know what you mean.
Figure 4 at the link I gave is the exact thing you need.
