Are you logged on to Windows as an Administrator? Message says "Log on as an administrator"
If you are not login as an admin and reinstall.
I have administrator rights for the pc. But inspite of that I am not able to delete that folder.
If you are logged on as an administrator you can use this solution to take control of the folder.
To take control of the folder that you cannot delete create a text file called “delete.bat” and add the following lines to it:
SET DIRECTORY_NAME="C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 5.7\Resources\CameraProfiles\Camera\Sony ILCE-5100"
TAKEOWN /f %DIRECTORY_NAME% /r /d y
ICACLS %DIRECTORY_NAME% /grant administrators:F /t
You will need to change the directory path to match your requirements e.g. “C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 5.7\Resources\CameraProfiles\Camera\Sony ILCE-5100y”if it is not correct.
Right click on the file “delete.bat” select “Run As Administrator” and you should now have full control of the directory and all sub directories meaning you can do what you wish with them.
The only other option you have, apart from booting using another OS or using something like xplorer2 lite from xplorer² Windows File Manager (Explorer replacement) is the Advanced Permissions option under 8.1. See instructions at How to Take Ownership of a File or a Folder in Windows 8.1
If that doesn't work try xplorer2 lite as I know for a fact that you can delete ANY folder or file with it ... but I have only tried Windows 7 ... haven't used it on Win 8.1 (usually the batch file works).
