I had tested old Adobe After Effect free trial on a PC with 512MB ram with Win XP installed many years ago. It ran fine without crashing. Now can I run AE CS6 on my PC with 1gb ram and Windows 8.1 x64? I knew that Windows 64bit need 2GB ram but it still run fine on 1gb ram.
Don't tell me to ask my mom for a new PC.
Yes, my PC much cheaper than After Effect but i think i can use After Effect for student or whatever...
Umm, seriously? AE itself requires 2 GB and that is without any assets loaded into it. How on Earth do you hope to get any work done? The program is going to choke on even the simplest stuff, assuming it actually runs. Sorry, but this makes absolutely zero sense.
But how did it run on 512mb ram?
Well, depending on what "many years ago" means, you probably used a 32bit version like AE 7 with much more moderate requirements, but equalyl only half the features of a contemporary version... I didn't say that it wouldn't work at all, but it will be nigh on impossible to actualyl work with it.
