    Edge 2014.1.1 Fonts

    Robyn_cpl Level 2

      Ive been having issues with custom fonts with the new patch update.

      They worked in the previous version then I opened my project in the new update and all my custom fonts now load in as Times New Roman (not a pretty font)

      I use @fontface

      <style type="text/css">@font-face {    font-family: _font_name_; src: url(_name_of_font_file_.woff);}</style>

      Is anyone else having this problem?

          Yup, same problem here. I use the Adobe Edge 2014.1.1 update.

          Double checked all settings, but could not find anything.

          Some extra info:

          I found that Edge now injects the embed code as a string (replacing the < and > characters bij &lt; and &gt;). Thats probably why the code is not recognized and the fonts are not displaying.

          I am now injecting the fonts myself with some code (top line is webfont css). No preview of the font in Edge, but it is working in the browser now:

          // WEB FONTS

          var css = "@font-face {  font-family: 'alwybwebfont';  font-style: normal;  font-weight: bold;  src: local('alwyb-webfont'),       url('fonts/alwyb-webfont.woff') format('woff'),       url('fonts/alwyb-webfont.ttf') format('ttf'),       url('fonts/alwyb-webfont.eot') format('eot');}",

              head = document.head || document.getElementsByTagName('head')[0],

              style = document.createElement('style');

            style.type = 'text/css';

            if (style.styleSheet){

             style.styleSheet.cssText = css;

            } else {

          Hope this helps some of you...

            Thanks for this information, made it a bit clearer.

            I've been adding this line of code into the embedded fonts bit <link rel="stylesheet" href="fonts/stylesheet.css" type="text/css" media="screen" title="" charset="utf-8" />

            Then in the stylesheet.css using each type of font inside here using this code below:

            @font-face {

                font-family: 'arialregular';

                src: url('Arial-webfont.eot');

                src: url('Arial-webfont.eot?#iefix') format('embedded-opentype'),

                     url('Arial-webfont.woff2') format('woff2'),

                     url('Arial-webfont.woff') format('woff'),

                     url('Arial-webfont.ttf') format('truetype'),

                     url('Arial-webfont.svg#arialregular') format('svg');

                font-weight: normal;

                font-style: normal;

            This seems to work when making new edge projects but if I embed it into existing projects it changes the line high and box parameters for some reason.
