1D Mark III?
1Ds Mark III?
5D Mark III?
Lr version ("most recent" doesn't tell us anything)?
Exact error message?
MaverickLR5.7 Camera raw 8 8.7 (i just updated LR the other day when prompted)
It is telling me on multiple cards it cannot read them when my Mac can and them and import them fine camera can read them and I can see them so it has to Lightroom.
Sorry 5DMIII not 5DMII
Keith asked for the EXACT error message; I don't see the answer.
How are you reading the card? From Camera? or from a Card Reader?
Do any of your CF cards work with LR 5.7?
Do they import if you copy the images to desktop and import from desktop?
The error message is "The following files could not be imported because they could not be read" and it's consistent with multiple cards. But they can be read and imported by the iPhoto Library just fine and viewed in camera. I import directly from the camera instead of a card reader. I has always worked that way until this most recent LR update. that is the thing that changed most recently as far as I can tell. Nothing else which is my guess.
I tried every card included photos I've already uploaded and edited previously prior to the 5.7 update and the same error message. I'm dying. I have family holiday sessions I have to edit and a sweet sixteen. I do not have the creative cloud this is just the installed version with a key. I'm SO irritated. I just need to know how to reinstall maybe the old version so I can go back to the way it was.
The destination folder specified in the Lightroom Import dialog box does not have WRITE permission. Change the permissions on that folder.
Okay - thank you. I have always put them in the same place in the same way. Will try it.
I got everything to work - same folders I've always used but picked a different folder. They imported. Then quick in the middle of the import. Same error message. Then reimported again. They are all importing to my hard drive on my Mac. I am worried this is now an on going LR problem which is not okay, I cannot afford the instability with LR.
