Why is Premiere exporting audio at higher volume (+6db)?

When exporting video files to mp4, Premiere is adding about 6db to the audio levels resulting in my audio becoming clipped. When I re-import the mp4 file into Prem, I place it on the timeline next to the origianl and I can see from the waveform it's adding to the amplitude. I've checked my export settings (actually I'm using the 1080 Youtube preset) and can't see any reason for it to do this.

      Workflow is:

      Audition>AIF>Premiere>mp4.

      Any help appreciated.
