1. Re: Some pages no longer display on PC since updating to Distiller X Pro 10.1.12
Bill@VT Nov 26, 2014 6:18 AM (in response to Colin Matthews)So you are creating a PS file to use with Distiller and not using Acrobat itself? I assume this is related to the software your product is created in. Otherwise, why not simply try printing to the Adobe PDF printer or whatever the equivalent is on the MAC.

Colin Matthews Nov 26, 2014 8:46 AM (in response to Bill@VT)No I am exporting a pdf from InDesign CS6 (8.02) I presumed it uses Distiller to make the pdf. This is how you are supposed to make pdfs from the programme.

3. Re: Some pages no longer display on PC since updating to Distiller X Pro 10.1.12
Bill@VT Nov 26, 2014 10:22 AM (in response to Colin Matthews)All I know is to check the export properties. It may be an issue related to Yosemite -- not that I really know much about that new OS for the MAC, but several folks have reported installation problems (apparently you succeeded) -- just a thought. Also, if the pages are full graphics, it may be that they do not have View Large Images selected in the properties of their reader software. The software can also be an issue if they are not using Reader or Acrobat from Adobe.
The best you can probably do without checking the properties of the other systems is to look at the preferences for the export that you are using. Since you are using Disitller, there may also be some settings there to check, like using Press or Print settings for example. Hope that gives you some things to consider.

4. Re: Some pages no longer display on PC since updating to Distiller X Pro 10.1.12
Test Screen Name Nov 26, 2014 11:42 AM (in response to Colin Matthews)No, when you export from InDesign, Distiller (and Acrobat) are not involved in any way. This is considered much better than using Distiller, which would lose transparency and much more. So the relevant upgrade (if there is one) is to InDesign.
I think you can get more information if you ask a question like this of them:
- Can you let me know which version of Windows you have (for example, Windows Vista, Windows 7, or Windows 8)
- Please let me know what app is running when you view the PDF (for example, Adobe Reader, Internet Explorer, Chrome, Firefox).
- Can you let me know which version of Adobe software you are using. Please use Help > About Adobe Reader or Help > About Acrobat Pro/Standard and let us know the number there (for example 9.5.1.4 or 11.0.99.6).
