I'm not familiar with this service.
- What kind of file do they give you? Is it a CSV, or do you create the CSV from some other kind of file?
- Have you tried copying the text from the file into something like Text Edit and saving as plain text, and then use that file for the data source?
- Are there any image fields, or is it all text?
You are not alone. I've just posted separately about the data merge problem which seems to have come back to InDesign (scroll up a bit from this posting). It is truly infuriating. Even when data merge works, it seems to be separating the merged document into several documents. Something seems to be truly amiss with the data merge facility. Adobe seem to have had problems with this part of the program for a long time now and don't seem to have fixed it. I'm hoping somebody from Adobe will read these posts and offer up a solution.
Same problem. Prior to CC, mail merge worked better. Takes me hours to accomplish simple merges! Not worth my subscription price!
Hard to believe that Adobe have failed to correct this problem. It has been with us for a long, long, looooong, time.
Trick is not to preview....
