      Hi ,

When I try to run mxml I am getting following error in my browser.
      Compilation Results

Errors, warnings or exceptions were found while compiling null.Visit the online Flex documentation or API reference for further information.

An error occured on the server. Server error is: 'Error occurred in server thread; nested exception is: java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: flex2/compiler/util/CompilerControl'

I have done following steps to setup Flex module for Apache and IIS
      ---------------------------------------

      1) Installed Apache2.2

      2) Downloaded full version of Flex module for Apache and IIS and installed

      3) While installation I have pointed Apachi Home folder

      4) Rebooted the System (my OS is Win Xp Sp2)

      5) In the installation itself it has copied some sample projects , to apache /Apache Software Foundation\Apache2.2\htdocs\ folder

when I try to mxml (any ) it is giving above error.

Please suggest me what was wrong here

      Thanks in advance
      Venu

          Hi,

Could you please open a command prompt and type "set" and then hit enter and then copy all the result and paste it here in a new post?

Could you tell us what version of flex sdk do you use? If you are using flex sdk 2.0 please update it to flex sdk 2.0.1

          Regards,
          Catalin

                  Hi,

I cannot reproduce your problem on my machine. Could you tell us what Flex Builder and FDS versions are you using? If you are using 2.0 upgrade to 2.0.1 and re-test the Flex Module.

                  Regards,
                  Catalin

                    Hi guys,

I have the same problem. Any suggest, it seems that is not founding the JRE right?

                      Hi guys,
This issue is not related to the JRE used, but to the version of Flex 2 SDK. This error occurs because of some classes that were added in the 2.0.1 release and which are used by the compiler whenever doing any work.
Because of a bug we had in the installer, the version of SDK did not always validate correctly, and thus it allowed the module to be installed over a 2.0 SDK.
This can also occur due to alterations in the system classpath which point to an older version of mxmlc.jar.
To test if the version of SDK on which the module is installed, follow these steps:
                      1. Open a command prompt.
                      2. Browse to [sdk_folder]\bin
                      3. Run mxmlc.exe -version

The output should state Version 2.0.1.

                      Hope this helps,
                      Cristian

I downloaded the update for Version 2.0.1 and now I get :

Unable to create this part due to an internal error. Reason for the failure: The editor class could not be instantiated. This usually indicates that the editor's class name was mistyped in plugin.xml.
