Premiere Pro only importing audio (not video) from .MOV files after rendering?

      Hey all,

First time poster, and brand new to the world of video editing, and definitely out of my depth with the sophistication of this software, so bear with me. I've combed through the forums for this issue already but can't seem to figure it out.

So I have the most recent version of Premiere Pro CC. I'm in the middle of editing a fairly complex video and chose to render my whole workspace when I was only about halfway done in order to make playback less laggy. Now that simple render shouldn't interfere with my ability to edit further, right? Or import new footage?

Well now the same files that I was importing just fine before the render (.MOV files) are importing only the audio. It shows the video preview in the project sources window but indicates that only the audio is available and when I try to drag it to the editing timeline it only drags the audio to the audio track... no video.

How do I fix this? I already tried converting the video files to MP4 but to no avail.

      Thanks in advance!
