Test Screen Name Dec 1, 2014 4:11 AM (in response to Riekiev)Did you do what it says? Or would you like help following those instructions? If you are on a Mac, use Launch Pad to launch all apps.

2. Re: Acceptance of EULA before opening a PDF document
Riekiev Dec 1, 2014 6:22 AM (in response to Test Screen Name)I cannot open a PDF document . I have re-installed Adobe Reader. The message comes up that I must launch Adobe Reader and accept the EULA, then quit and relaunch the browser. Please advise

Test Screen Name Dec 1, 2014 7:04 AM (in response to Riekiev)So, you cannot open a PDF document. But can you launch Adobe Reader? Have you done this? If you are puzzled, and by previous reply doesn't help you with this, let us know if you are on Mac or Windows.

5. Re: Acceptance of EULA before opening a PDF document
Test Screen Name Dec 1, 2014 7:32 AM (in response to Riekiev)Ok, you say you cannot launch Adobe Reader on a Mac. If you can't launch Adobe Reader you will certainly keep getting that message until you do.
Do you mean
1. You don't know how to launch Adobe Reader on a Mac, or
2. You do know but something wrong happens.
If 1, see my earlier reply " If you are on a Mac, use Launch Pad to launch all apps." - let us know if this doesn't make sense.
If 2, please let us know exactly what happens when you DO launch Adobe Reader - what message you get?

7. Re: Acceptance of EULA before opening a PDF document
Test Screen Name Dec 1, 2014 8:24 AM (in response to Riekiev)Yes, I know you get that message when visiting a web page, but that isn't my point. Please carefully read my previous reply and let us know whether 1 or 2 applies. It seems to me that you aren't launching Adobe Reader, but your replies are a little unclear to me. Let's try to work it out.

11. Re: Acceptance of EULA before opening a PDF document
Test Screen Name Dec 2, 2014 4:34 AM (in response to Riekiev)Please describe EXACTLY, step by step, what you click or type or do to LAUNCH Adobe Reader, and get this message.
Tip: opening a link to a PDF file in a web browser DOES NOT LAUNCH Adobe Reader. -
12. Re: Acceptance of EULA before opening a PDF document
Riekiev Dec 2, 2014 4:49 AM (in response to Test Screen Name)After downloading and installing Adobe Reader, if you look on website EULA is displayed BUT you cannot accept it. If you download you accept the terms
NOW:
After downloading the file and installing the downloaded file, the Adobe icon is displayed in my application folder
Thus I assume it is installed
Now when I want to open a document id PDF format, it tells me the message above.
Clsing all applications I open Application folder, click on the Adobe icon it then jumps to bar at the bottom, with the Adobe icon.
Then when click on the bottom icon, it is static, does not jump up & down
When I click on a PDF file it says accept EULA

13. Re: Acceptance of EULA before opening a PDF document
Test Screen Name Dec 2, 2014 5:07 AM (in response to Riekiev)Right, so Adobe Reader is started. It is in the dock.
Click on its icon.
Does Adobe Reader appear in the menu bar, next to the apple icon?
Are you able to now use File > Open from the menu bar, in Adobe Reader, to open a PDF?
If not, what happens? -
14. Re: Acceptance of EULA before opening a PDF document
Riekiev Dec 2, 2014 5:21 AM (in response to Test Screen Name)Yes the Adobe appears next to the Apple icon
When I click on File open I can open files of two weeks ago but files received today I cannot open

16. Re: Acceptance of EULA before opening a PDF document
Riekiev Dec 2, 2014 5:33 AM (in response to Test Screen Name)Gives me the message to accept EULA

17. Re: Acceptance of EULA before opening a PDF document
Test Screen Name Dec 2, 2014 5:59 AM (in response to Riekiev)That is unique in my experience. You are not double clicking on a file? You are not using a browser? You are using Adobe Reader? And you are using Open from the File menu and nothing else? And you get the message telling you to launch Adobe Reader and accept EULA?

18. Re: Acceptance of EULA before opening a PDF document
Bill@VT Dec 2, 2014 8:29 AM (in response to Test Screen Name)I understand that is indeed what is happening. What is strange is that it will not show the EULA message for previous files. That suggests there is some other step that we are not hearing about.

Ayudame Dec 3, 2014 9:33 AM (in response to Riekiev)Hello--
Did you ever figure this one out? The same thing is happening for me--it has always worked for me in the past but now I am getting that same error message in Google Chrome.

20. Re: Acceptance of EULA before opening a PDF document
Test Screen Name Dec 3, 2014 9:49 AM (in response to Ayudame)I don't think the original poster is getting the message in Chrome, and that's the puzzle. I would sort of understand it then. Seems to be getting it when opening a file in Adobe Reader.
It looks as if the problem might be Chrome using the Adobe Reader plug-in. That isn't supported on Mac - only Safari. So best to disable it.

21. Re: Acceptance of EULA before opening a PDF document
Ayudame Dec 3, 2014 9:55 AM (in response to Test Screen Name)The original poster said, "But when I want to open a PDF on google Browser, I receive the message about the EULA. A PDF attachment on email does open." So, I think that person might getting the message in Chrome. It sounds very similar to my situation. Is Adobe Reader not being supported on Mac a recent thing? I used to open PDFs with Adobe Reader in Chrome all the time. It only recently stopped working. I tried it on a PC, and Chrome uses the Adobe Reader plug-in just fine.
