The layout was being edited in Indesign and the tif file changed?
Could you post screenshots and/or photographs of the misprint?
Well, I did not make any edits to the actual image in photoshop after it was placed into the Indesign file.
When I went through my history at version 21 all of sudden a line appeared. I had not touched the image in photoshop at all.
Please see the attached.

So the tiff definitely had the line?
Do you still have the psd file?
Yes it was the tif that had the line break and there are no layers. It is a flattened image I had previously used for another cover without an issue.
But is the the layered file you save the tiff off of also damaged?
No the original image does not have the line break. See below.
I duplicated the image below for the current project and the line break occurred midway through the project. It seems that the image somehow got corrupted but I did not open it up in photoshop at all.
