Could someone please explain me why a Photography subscription today costs 9.99 USD vs 13 Euro ?
No.
This isn't Adobe, incidentally. This is a user-to-user forum.

Chthefirst Dec 1, 2014 11:20 AM (in response to Keith_Reeder)It's the Adobe site who redirected my question to this forum. You are right off course and I apologize to users I might offend. If someone knows how to contact the Adobe marketing or customer relations team ...
Like most users, I've always paid for the software I used. I can afford Lightroom but I cannot justify Photoshop pricing. Version 5 of Lightroom will probably be the last version I'll use and that is not something I like.

ssprengel Dec 1, 2014 2:30 PM (in response to Chthefirst)I suspect the increase in price is due to reduced market size vs the expense of Adobe having a physical presence in the various countries. There may also be some tax issue that makes thing more expensive—the difference between value-added-tax vs sales-tax.

Chthefirst Dec 1, 2014 3:45 PM (in response to ssprengel)I can understand a sales tax difference. Adobe has no local representation in my country. Most people I know (and even schools) use the US version because it is easier to find books, go on forums etc.
Adobe is the only US IT-softwarecompany that I know of that discriminates on where you are situated.
The U.S. and the E.U. are currently negotiating a free trade agreement. One can only hope some of our lofty politicians are awake.
