1. Re: Working between AECS6 and CC Versions
Todd_Kopriva Dec 1, 2014 11:45 AM (in response to Zane Redfield)See this:
opening After Effects projects from previous versions and saving back to previous versions
> Does this mean that changes I made using CC-specific features will be retroactively disabled or negated if I move back into CS6?
Yes.

2. Re: Working between AECS6 and CC Versions
Zane Redfield Dec 1, 2014 12:24 PM (in response to Todd_Kopriva)Thanks for the info. Just to clarify, if I need to fix up some bad roto work I pulled in CS6 and used the refine edge tool in CC, if I re-opened the project in CS6 again none of those changes would register? Is the only workaround to render out the clip in CC as the final step in the workflow?

Dave LaRonde Dec 1, 2014 2:21 PM (in response to Zane Redfield)You could render out the clip with an alpha channel and import it into CS6....

Zane Redfield Dec 1, 2014 5:25 PM (in response to Dave LaRonde)Thanks to both of you. I know it seems roundabout and a little nonsensical but there's a particular method to this madness. It's been a messy process but I think I've got a handle on it. Thanks, guys!
