Why is the audio in my imported video file clipping badly?

    MonStrasity

I have imported a .mov file into my Premiere Pro CS6 project and the audio is completely over blown and clipping badly.  The file plays fine outside of Premiere.  I imported another known-good file into the same project and the audio is fine.  I have also used Media Encoder to try to encode it differently and got the same results, the audio on the encoded file was completely overblown.

I think the file was created in iMovie.

I have not found any help on Google.

I have tried this on two Windows machines with the same results.

          Hi Hacim00,

Can we get more details on the video file? Check out MediaInfo (free application) for that.

          Thanks,

          Kevin
