"The Scratch Disks are write protected or unavailable" Error [Mac User]

    dunbar2222

      Hey everyone,

I see that this question has been asked already, but that was for windows users on PP4.

I have a 2013 iMac 32gb's of ram, running yosemite(used mavericks with PP6 before that).  Suped up graphics card.

I've tried changing the scratch disks via preferences, pretty much every way possible.

But I keep getting the error message.  It just seems to "happen" in the middle of each project.

I can still open the project, but if I continue farther with the PPdocument it usually ends up getting corrupted.

And it really gives me a hard time when I try to render, export, save etc.

I've asked the adobe helpline, looked at every forum possible, and I've tried everything myself

(The only thing that works is when I export and XML from that project and import that XML into a new sequence, but that leaves me with a corrupted file as well.

As finicky as Final Cut 7 was I never had scratch disks issues.

Hopefully someone can help me out on this forum because I have nowhere else to go.

      Best,

      Nick
