1. Re: Photoshop Elements 13 trial can not use digimarc filter
R_Kelly Dec 1, 2014 8:27 PM (in response to bbmn96)Which operating system are you using?
Photoshop elements only provides for reading of the watermarks, but you might be able to download the needed plugin from the Digimarc website.

2. Re: Photoshop Elements 13 trial can not use digimarc filter
bbmn96 Dec 2, 2014 5:00 AM (in response to R_Kelly)I am using windows 8. Also, I own a previous version of Photoshop Elements and have always been able to successfully use the digimarc filter to embed the digimarc into my images. With a new laptop, and newer operating system then my older desktop pc, I thought I would go with the newer version of Photoshop Elements but wanted to try before buying it first to make sure it would do what I needed. My Digimarc subscription IS current. The Digimarc site has plug-in's for all previous versions of Photoshop Elements, but NOT for 13. I even tried downloading the PE12 plugin from the digimarc site, but can not complete the installation because the file directory seems to be different (Digimarc instructions say to extract the file to: Computer > C: > Program Files (x86) > Adobe Photoshop Elements XX > Plug-Ins > The problem lies in that I can not find "Adobe Photoshop Elements.." under Program Files.)
This is why I downloaded the trial version of Photoshop Elements instead of just blindly buying the latest version - I'm not going to waste my money on something that wont work for my needs! I do NOT need full version of Photoshop, just Elements... All I use this for is to crop, re-size, insert a watermark, and to insert digimarc and that's pretty much it.

3. Re: Photoshop Elements 13 trial can not use digimarc filter
R_Kelly Dec 2, 2014 12:50 PM (in response to bbmn96)Download the version that says
Photoshop CS5 and above, 64-bit PC
Then just copy the
Digisign
and
DigiSign.8bf
to
C:\Program Files\Adobe\Photoshop Elements 13\Plug-Ins
Pse 13 already has the other two files DigiRead and DigiRead.8bf in the Required>Plugins folder
Pse 13 is an 64 bit program for windows now, where as previous pse versions were 32 bits on windows.
