1. Re: I'm losing quality when resizing a smart object-- as if it wasn't one! What's going on?
Mylenium Dec 1, 2014 10:24 PM (in response to pajodie)What object? What version of PS? What system? What settings? You need to be more specific.

ssprengel Dec 1, 2014 10:29 PM (in response to Mylenium)Try turning off the resample checkbox so that the only thing you’re changing is the effective dimensions in inches/cms rather than reducing the number of pixels.

3. Re: I'm losing quality when resizing a smart object-- as if it wasn't one! What's going on?
pajodie Dec 1, 2014 10:48 PM (in response to Mylenium)The object is a graphic copied and pasted from another PSD. I am using PS CC on Windows 8. I don't know what you mean by "settings". I haven't created any custom settings but if there's specific information you need (like defaults that I can hunt down), I'd be happy to share.
The above suggestion re: the resample checkbox did not help, unfortunately. Still giant loss of quality.
