Acrobat v.7 settings saved but not applied
David.G.P Dec 1, 2014 11:57 PMI have the exact same problem as in below discussion -- except that it is not Acrobat 8 but Acrobat 7.
Why my acrobat settings can not be saved?
There is full registry access for Administrator and System to the Acrobat registry settings under
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Adobe\Adobe Acrobat\7.0
If I change certain settings, for example under "General" -> "Use Single Key Accelerators To Access Tools", this DOES get saved to the registry.
Still however, Acrobat does not seem to read this setting from the registry. However, it writes AND reads other settings perfectly well, like for example "General" -> "Make Hand Tool Select Text".
What could be the reason for this behaviour?

It seems to be due to the registry access issue by adrobat. If you're using Vista, have you tried running Acrobat using "Run as Admin" ?!
