1. Re: Why isn't my Drag and Drop letting me drag?
Lilybiri Dec 2, 2014 7:35 AM (in response to Kristen2810)That is one of the problems with drag&drop: objects have to be timed from the start of the slide. If that is not possible, as I had already the requirement in many projects, you'll have to split up in two slides.

Captiv8r Dec 2, 2014 8:09 AM (in response to Kristen2810)Hi there
While I'm sure Lilybiri is quite correct, there is one thing that sort of sticks out here that wasn't mentioned.
I note that you said: When I preview my slide, it doesn't allow me to drag my source at all.
Apologies if you are already aware of this, but that seems to imply that you may be using the "play this slide" type of preview. And in that type of preview, NOTHING that is interactive (Rollovers, Buttons, Click Boxes, etc) are going to work. So the better preview type is nearly any other preview except "play this slide".
I facilitate lots of Captivate classes. And I see it time and again, class after class, despite advising about avoiding this type of preview. Folks are constantly using the play this slide preview and scratching their heads and wondering why something isn't working.
Cheers... Rick

4. Re: Why isn't my Drag and Drop letting me drag?
Kristen2810 Dec 2, 2014 8:15 AM (in response to Captiv8r)Thanks for the feedback, Rick. No, I was previewing through my browser. Lieve is correct...it needs to start at the very beginning of the slide. So I have to make 2 slides for every D&D I have.
