Any error message? Are you sure yo have permission to write to the folder where you are trying to save the PDF? Can you export it to the Desktop?

How about other files? Do they export?  Does this one work if you log onto the Mac in a different user?

                What settings do you use?

What is the content of your file?

I have the same problem. I cannot print to an external PDF creation device such as an Adobe PDF print driver, Primo PDF, PDF Creator, etc. I also cannot export an InDesign file into PDF format. When trying to print to the Adobe PDF print driver, the software hangs with "Downloading procset." When I try to export to a PDF file, InDesign looks as if it is creating the PDF file, but it never shows up.

Don't use print to create PDF, use export to PDF.

I SAY AGAIN:  "When I try to export to a PDF file, InDesign looks as if it is creating the PDF file, but it never shows up."

In other words, I've already tried to export to a PDF file inside of InDesign.

                        What are your settings?

What is the content of your document?

                          What are your settings?

Settings of what? there are a host of OS and Adobe settings that could have an impact. To which set of settings are you referring?

What is the content of your document?

Text only. Well, almost text only. There are some horizontal lines. All of the fonts are active and properly linked to the document.
