Would be fascinated if you ever get a solution. See you have posted in a few places. I am getting the same problem with Fireworks 8. Intel G5.
No such problem on my home G5 Powermac... Am so glad I got one of the last ones... runs like a dream... not like the Intel... so many problem :-(
Chris or Catboris123....did either of you find a resolution for this? I have a MacPro and I'm running in to the same issue....any time I try and export a slice I get the "Unable to Locate File" error.....I'm using Mac osX and FIreworks 8......
A straightforward re-install of Fireworks seemed to sort it out. Hope it does the same for you
I'm having the same exact issue with Fireworks on my Macbook Pro with the intel chip. I corrected my permissions and tried reinstalling Firework but get the same file not found error. However I can import and export files to an external firelite drive without the error.
Hello All - Just wanted to provide a follow-up....Cat I tried the reinstall and that didn't fix the issue....I was still getting the error....I did however resolve the issue....the file I was accessing was on a external HDD (Fat 32) Firewire drive....when I accessed the files on my internal drive and tried to export the slice I didn't receive the problem...it worked fine....there is something with my external HDD that is causing the issue...so now I'll try and figure that out....
jimerobert I hope you are using an external HDD...
Thanks for the help Triad. Chris and Cat, if you are not using a physical external HDD and still receiving the problem, there's a chance you're trying to save to a flash drive or a home drive (personal server space usually used at work). Try saving to your local drive. That's the only workaround. I can save to My Documents (on local drive) then just copy to the folder I need it to be stored.
Hope that helps.
