    Importing IDTT, hyperlinks in footnotes move around

      Hi,

      I've found a bizarre situation when placing IDTT, and I'm wondering if anyone has encountered this or can shed any light. I assume it's a bug, but I'm not sure if there's much use in reporting an IDTT bug at this point.

      My IDTT has embedded footnotes that include hyperlinks. Here's an example:

      <ASCII-MAC>
      <DefineCharStyle:i=>
      <DefineCharStyle:hl=>
      <DefineParaStyle:chapnum=>
      <DefineParaStyle:foot=>
      <DefineParaStyle:para=>
      <ParaStyle:chapnum>Chapter 1
      <ParaStyle:para>Here is some paragraph text preceding a footnote.<cPosition:Superscript><FootnoteStart:><ParaStyle:foot> <CharStyle:i>See<CharStyle:> some text.<FootnoteEnd:><cPosition:> Here is a bit more text.<cPosition:Superscript><FootnoteStart:><ParaStyle:foot> Here is a hyperlink within a footnote. It should be around the following text: <Hyperlink:=<HyperlinkName:HL1><HyperlinkDest:http://fakeurl.com><CharStyleRef:hl><HyperlinkLength:21><Hidden:0><BrdrVisible:0>>text of the hyperlink<HyperlinkDestDefn:=<HyperlinkDestName:http://fakeurl.com><HyperlinkDestUrl:http://fakeurl.com>>. And here is a bit more text.<FootnoteEnd:><cPosition:> And here's some text to fill out this paragraph.
      <ParaStyle:para>Here is a second paragraph that also has some text.<cPosition:Superscript><FootnoteStart:><ParaStyle:foot> Here is another hyperlink within a footnote. It should be around the following text: <Hyperlink:=<HyperlinkName:HL2><HyperlinkDest:http://ersatzurl.com><CharStyleRef:hl><HyperlinkLength:33><Hidden:0><BrdrVisible:0>>this is the text of the hyperlink<HyperlinkDestDefn:=<HyperlinkDestName:http://ersatzurl.com><HyperlinkDestUrl:http://ersatzurl.com>>. And here is a bit more text.<FootnoteEnd:><cPosition:> And here's some text to fill out this paragraph.
      <ParaStyle:para>Finally, an exception. The upcoming footnote is the last thing in the document and therefore the hyperlinks are situated correctly.<cPosition:Superscript><FootnoteStart:><ParaStyle:foot> Here is the last hyperlink within a footnote. It should be around the following text: <Hyperlink:=<HyperlinkName:HL3><HyperlinkDest:http://pseudourl.com><CharStyleRef:hl><HyperlinkLength:16><Hidden:0><BrdrVisible:0>>last bit of text<HyperlinkDestDefn:=<HyperlinkDestName:http://pseudourl.com><HyperlinkDestUrl:http://pseudourl.com>>. And here is a bit more text.<FootnoteEnd:><cPosition:>

      Each hyperlink source should be the text following the colon. Instead, when I place this into a new document, I get results that appear random (although I assume they aren't). The first link's source is the text "nd here’s some text t" in the second paragraph. The second link's source is the text " It should be around the followin" in the second footnote. Interestingly, the last hyperlink is correctly placed. This only works if that footnote is the very last thing in the IDTT file, followed by a return (without the return the source is offset by one character, meaning it does not include the first character of its intended source text and runs one character long). Given that last point, I'm sure there's some sort of offset pattern but it seems like it would be extremely difficult to ascertain within the IDTT. (I've tried counting characters and occasionally the results seem meaningful; other times there's no obvious pattern).

      I'm halfway resigned to having to relink all of my hyperlinks, but I thought I'd try reaching out first. Has anyone encountered or heard of this, and is there a fix?
