Registration is simply listing it with Adobe. Go to My Products and register there. https://www.adobe.com/account/my-products-services.html#MyProductsHeader
If you mean Activation, that is important. Sign in, activation, or connection errors | CS5.5 and later
You can activate it offline if you can't get it to work.
The issue is activation, not registration. I now have four days left. I am using the link you provided...I entered the product serial number, but it is asking me to enter a request code. Where do I get this? The Abode server is not working...while I can connect to the internet, I can't see to connect to the server when I have launched PhotoShop CS6.
Follow the steps under Solution 2. Read the instructions until you understand them.
Basically at the Activation screen, you will click "Having Trouble Connecting To The Internet."
Click "Offline Activation" and then click "Generate a Response Code".
You then get a "Request Code" which you will write down. Don't close the Activation screen.
Then in your browser go to
- Click Offline Activation and sign in with your Adobe ID/Password.
- Enter the Request Code you wrote down and enter your serial number.
- You then get a Response code. Write it down, and go back to the Activation screen where there should be a place to enter that Response code
- I don't know if there will be a validate, confirm or continue button, but follow the instructions and the Response code should activate your software.
I guess I am not making myself clear. When I launch Adobe PhotoShop CS6. a popup screen comes up and says the following:
Sign In Required
Signing in with an Adobe ID and registering Creative Suite 6 Design Standard [English (North America)] is required within 4 days otherwise it will stop working. Your Adobe ID provides you an easy way to access your serial numbers, as well as Adobe Creative Cloud and the Adobe.com community.
Sign in Later Sign in Now
When I click "sign in now" it locks up, it never connects to the internet even though I am on the internet. I don't get the "Activation screen, you will click "Having Trouble Connecting To The Internet."" as you mention. When I go to register the product as you mention in your first message, I get the following, "This serial number has already been registered. Products can only be registered once. Click here for more information." So again, I am in a loop! HELP!
Ok. I'm not familiar with the behavior of academic software, but this sounds like what you are telling me:
See if PM'ing one of the Staff members on this case can help you.
Or contact Adobe either by chat or phone: Adobe - Adobe worldwide customer support and technical support phone numbers
I should 'fess up and say that I'm a user-contributor in these forums and not an Adobe employee, so that why you need to get Support on this.
Gene - thanks so much for your help! I will contact Adobe today as there are only two days. I also received a notice that there were several updates that I needed to install....and it never would connect to the Adobe server. This has been a nightmare! Thanks again for your professional assistance!
