I just updated to After effects 126.96.36.199 and am now getting the dreaded "Unable to create font" warning. The thing is I am not using any fonts in the composition. It's just a straight gopro timelapse import.
I have re-installed Verdana and Tahoma looks fine. I have run a font doctor and removed any duplicates and done a restart.
Any ideas? You guessed it - it's urgent - I got a stupid deadline.
And you get the warning on your Amiga 500 or Atari ST? Without exact system info and other technical details like screen settings, language settings and so on nobody can even guess. There are simply too many possible causes.
What OS are you running?
In the meantime, to meet your deadline. You can either save it as version 12 and use the older version of CC or you can uninstall 2014, reinstall it and then stop it updating to use 13.0.
