    Strange Gradient Issue

    Scrapcio
I'm actually using 30 day trial of Fireworks and seriously thinking about buying full version but yesterday I noticed strange issue. Graindent colors aren't smooth at all. I mean that on 100% view I can easily notice edges beetwen colors in gradient. I don't know this application very well and it is possible that I unfortunaetlly switched on or off some function but I have got absoluetly no idea what function it might be. I will be really glad for any help and sorry for my poor English.

          Scrapcio,

Check your Optimize panel and make sure that gif is not selected. That
will definitively give you banding in gradients.

I had got JPEG with 99% of quality chosen in Optimize panel. I tried to change it to JPEG 100% and PNG32 but it made no diffrence.

Check your graphics card setting to make sure it is set to True color
(24 to 32 bit depth). Some machines come from the factory with a 16 bit
              setting.

One setting I forgot to mention. Choose Edit > Preferences. Under the
General tab, there's a check box for "Faster but less accurate
resampling." If there's a check mark there, click in the box to turn the
                feature off.
