My InDesign CC 2014 has recently started to print graphics in a pixelated manner. The effective PPI is over 300, and the same graphics I created in Photoshop print perfect from Photoshop. Links are good. Any ideas on what is causing this/how to fix it? I've tried inserting .psd files as well as .jpg and .pdf. All print at various levels of pixelation. I'm wondering if this has to do with the latest Mac Yosemite update. Has anyone run across this problem?
Export a PDF and print from there. It is simpler and better than printing from InDesign. Avoid it.
But if you insist in printing directly from InDesign, take care that you send all image data to the printer, not only an optimized subset. With printing in InDesign you can do more wrong or forget settings than creating a PDF before.
Thank you! Printing from a pdf has fixed the problem. Not convenient, but it works!
