Can you verify the minimum program including version needed to 1) conduct an accessibility check; and 2) fix accessibility problems? i.e. Acrobat Pro XI, Acrobat Standard xx thank you!
If you know the difference between the various versions of Acrobat and can list these for accessibility, that would be so helpful. For example, Acrobat Pro XI will do the full check and fix all problems. Acrobat Standard will do ..... Acrobat Pro X will do.... and so on. Many thanks to all of your input. We are attempting to advise others on whether or not they need to make an investment in new software or if their current software will do the job.
For accessibility work you need Acrobat Pro, not Standard. Acrobat Pro X worked fine for me for accessibility work, but XI is a bit better. One thing I want to be clear about - neither Acrobat Pro nor any other tool will "fix all problems". Rather, a sufficiently knowledgeable and motivated human can fix the problems using Acrobat Pro. Sometimes it is a time consuming process.
Hope this helps.

Engrave that on the Arch through which the motivated "provide accessible PDF" geeks all pass through.
