    Footnote movement

    selvam214 Level 1

      Hi,

While moving the footnotes to near reference point (with script), the numbering option converted to tags. Can you please guide to me, how to move the footnote without change the numbering.

      Before movement:

          Hi All,

Any update on this? I think it's very tough to handle (with script) the footnote in INDD.

Kindly let me know if not clear my request.

            Hi All,

If it possible to retain the footnote character? This is quite urgent, kindly help for this.

Because, once export to RTF, the footnote reference number changed as per below (1,2,3...):

What you want is currently impossible. The only workaround would be to go through all the footnotes and for each one replace the automated footnote maker with it's actual text (but there is no straight-forward way of doing that), then move them in the body text. Ofcourse the big downside of this (besides the difficulty of determining the actual footnote number) is that you loose the automated numbers in it, so if you insert a new footnote.. things get strange.
