If you registered it, Adobe will have a record of it. If you didn’t…well, I’m not sure what to tell you.
I'd agree with Bob. There's no problem installing CS4. You can download a clean install from here:
You may need to clean off the stuff from Time Machine with the Adobe Cleaner here:
But if you have no serial number, and no proof of purchase, you're still out of luck.
Thank for that I¹ve tried to get onto a chat so that Adobe could perhaps
get the serial number from the records I¹m sure I registered. I suspect
that I haven¹t got the original disks because I upgraded from PageMaker
online but I don¹t remember but I do have the original PagMaker discs. I
wonder if I installed pagemaker would it help?
Thanks but I get chat not available at this time.
There’s no way to install PM on a new Mac and you should also be aware that CS4 is unsupported under Mavericks or Yosemite.
Yes, I see that about PM> I¹ve discovered from Adobe the serial number and
am at present downloading. Fortunately I have not yet got past Snow Leopard
and so I¹m now hopeful. Thanks for your help.
Thank you for your help in this. I think I have finally succeeded. It¹s
taken me all day! I can¹t believe that at one time I was leading the field
in using computers had a mac in 1986 and helped schools to into the BBC
computer and the PET.
