I bought stock vector art and the artist created compound paths on top of groups and paths, so I have hidden-nested groups.
How can I detect them since visually they do not show until I release the compound paths first (which wrecks the images).
I tried just looking for groups with a parent of not null (because I want to preserve the top level groups which assumingly have no parent), but didn't work.
Anyone had this issue and tackled it another way?
groupItem.parent.name == "" test isn't reliable because we can name the compound path (most people don't, but they can).
Does .typename work reliably?
e.g. pageItem.typename == "CompoundPathItem" kinda thing?
